About
The Author
D. Earl Johnston is a veteran corporate executive, researcher/lexicographer, and author whose multi-decade career has spanned commercial banking (bank president at age 29) and advanced M&A —including his ‘Co-Founding Father’ role as EVP-Finance at global giant Platinum Equity, LLC (more than forty major acquisitions), and as a professional expert witness retained by elite law firms and the U.S. Department of Justice. A multi-field researcher, Johnston has also published original research on Second Temple Judaism and the Dead Sea Scrolls. He is additionally a former world champion sailor — 1983 5.5 Metre World Championship, Hankø, Norway — and the ‘navigational’ framework at the heart of Choosing Emotions traces directly to that experience, including his study of celestial navigation beginning at age sixteen. A dinner conversation with his daughter led to the book.
